We remember and honor Alice Wong who passed away in November 2025.
Her work changed the way the world understands disability, social responsibility, and justice. Through her creation of the Disability Visibility Project, she highlighted storytelling projects on social media and other outlets of disabled that too often were not heard and gave voice and understanding to the need of the disabled community. Alice served on the National Council on Disability from 2013 to 2015.
Despite her challenges growing up, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Perdue University Indianapolis and a master’s degree from the University of California in San Francisco. Her advocacy continues to inspire those who have worked for better opportunities and lives for the disadvantaged.
We work to honor her memory by inspiring a new generation to find ways to provide real solutions to the disabled and to stay connected with this diverse community and its needs.
