On January 19, 2026, Technology Helping People hosted a table at the MLK Day of Service hosted by Montgomery County Volunteer Center which was held at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The event was an opportunity to have an information booth and to meet with a large number of volunteers and potential partners.
The event was a very positive and exciting event. Many people who were potentially interested in volunteering on projects signed up to receive additional information from our mail list. These volunteers were attending universities, high schools and middle schools in the Washington DC area. We met with representatives from other volunteer organizations, government agencies and non-profit organizations to discuss ideas on areas we could work together on mutually beneficial projects.
